On the Sight bookshelf this week…

Each week we thought we’d list some of the books we’d recommend, are reading at the moment or simply look interesting. There’s some new releases, some classics and some that will always find a space on our bookshelf. So here starts the list…

• Gospel: Recovering the Power that Made Christianity Revolutionary –  JD Greear. Forward by Tim Keller.

The Vow: The True Events that Inspired the Movie – Kim and Krickett Carpenter. (Get a taste of the story behind the film in our report here).

The Heavenly Man: The Remarkable True Story of Chinese Christian Brother Yun – Paul Hattaway. As it says, a remarkable story.

• The Case for a Creator: A Journalist Investigates Scientific Evidence That Points Toward God – Lee Strobel. One in a series in which Strobel applies the investigative techniques he learnt as a journalist on whether the evidence points to a Creator. Read our interview with Lee Strobel about the book here.

• Revelations: Visions, Prophecy, and Politics in the Book of Revelation – Elaine Pagels. A look at the Book of Revelation in the historical setting in which it was written.
